INI CET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 17, 2025, while NEET PG exam will be conducted on June 15, 2025, for admission to PG medical courses in several specialisations across India.

Members of the medical fraternity have urged the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to postpone the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET-PG) and the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) owing to the rapidly escalating tension between India and Pakistan. The medicos have urged the ministry to conduct the examination once the situation is under control.

Medical activist Dr Dhruv Chauhan and the National President of United Doctors Front (UDF), Dr. Lakshya Mittal have highlighted the risk of scheduling the examination, including transportation issues, along with the safety and security of the candidates, as reported by Medical Dialogues.

INI CET and NEET PG 2025 Exam Date

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the NEET PG 2025 exam on June 15, 2025 while the AIIMS will conduct INI CET 2025 exam on May 17, 2025. INI CET candidates are especially stressed as the examination is scheduled to be conducted within a week. Further, INI SS 2025 July session examination will be conducted on May 24, 2025.

Dr Chauhan, National Spokesperson of the Indian Medical Association Junior Doctors’ Network (IMA-JDN) has shared a post on Social Media platform ‘X’ shating that as the Indian Premier League (IPL) and professional examinations like CA exams have been postponed, the Government should also cancel major exams like NEET PG and INICET and reschedule them only when the tension between India and Pakistan is over.

Meanwhile, Dr. Lakshya Mittal, National President of United Doctors Front (UDF), has written to the Director of AIIMS Delhi urging postponement of INI-CET PG and INI-SS exams scheduled on May 17 and May 24, respectively, amid the war emergency.

He highlighted that the key concerns, such as security and travel restrictions, along with psychological distress, will be a concerning point for all candidates. Several regions near the border are sensitive zones and are already under curfew, making it unsafe for students to commute.

However, the INI CET admit card 2025 has been issued to the candidates. The possibility of postponement of INI CET 2025 exam is probably less.
