The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the results for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 cycle. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards and the final answer key on the official website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in. 

Steps to Download UGC NET December 2024 Scorecard: 

  1. Visit the Official Website: Navigate to ugcnet.nta.ac.in. 
  2. Find the Result Link: On the homepage, click on the link labeled “UGC-NET December-2024: Click Here for Score Card.” 
  3. Login Credentials: Enter your application number and date of birth in the designated fields. 
  4. View and Download: After logging in, your scorecard will be displayed. Review the details and download the scorecard for future reference. 

Accessing the Final Answer Key: 

The NTA has also released the final answer key for the December 2024 UGC NET examination. To view it, candidates can click on the link titled “UGC-NET December-2024: Click here for final answer key” available on the official website. This document provides the correct answers to all questions asked in the exam, allowing candidates to assess their performance accurately. 

Important Details: 

  • Examination Dates: The UGC NET December 2024 exams were conducted on January 21 and 27, 2025. 
  • Purpose of the Exam: UGC NET determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor roles and awards the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. 
  • Validity: The JRF award is valid for three years from the date of issuance, while the eligibility for Assistant Professor has no expiration. 

Next Steps for Qualified Candidates: 

  1. E-Certificates: Qualified candidates will receive their e-certificates and JRF award letters through the official portal. Notifications regarding the availability of these documents will be sent to the registered email addresses of the candidates. 
  2. Further Opportunities: Those who have qualified for JRF are eligible to pursue research in their postgraduate subject or related fields and are also eligible for Assistant Professor positions. Candidates who have qualified only for Assistant Professor can apply for teaching positions in various universities and colleges across India.
