The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is set to host a landmark event—Startup Conclave 2025—on April 22–23 at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) in Hyderabad.
The conclave aims to give a major push to India’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem by creating a platform that connects startups, research institutions, and industry leaders.
Organized jointly by CSIR-IICT, CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), and CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), the event will be held under the theme “Catalysing Innovation, Connecting Ecosystems.”
The objective is clear: bridge the long-standing gap between scientific research and real-world application by empowering startups with cutting-edge technologies developed by CSIR labs.
The two-day conclave will feature panel discussions, tech exhibitions, startup showcases, and networking sessions.
Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh will inaugurate the event, with CSIR Director General Dr. N. Kalaiselvi delivering a keynote address.
The second day will see participation from key political figures including Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, BJP MP Etala Rajender, and Telangana MLA Bathula Laxma Reddy.
Startups working in domains such as health tech, agri-tech, clean energy, and deep tech are expected to benefit from this collaborative environment.
With India increasingly leaning into self-reliant innovation, CSIR’s move to directly engage with early-stage ventures could prove pivotal.
The conclave isn’t just a celebration of innovation—it’s a signal.
CSIR is ready to open its doors, share its intellectual wealth, and walk alongside India’s next generation of tech entrepreneurs.
