The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses offer a range of functionalities:

  • Hands-Free Photo and Video Capture: Equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide camera, users can record 1080p videos up to 60 seconds and take photos using voice commands.
  • Live Streaming: Users can stream directly to Facebook or Instagram, enhancing real-time content sharing.
  • Meta AI Integration: The glasses feature Meta’s conversational assistant, activated by saying “Hey Meta,” allowing for voice-controlled interactions.
  • Live Translation: A recent update introduces hands-free live translation, facilitating real-time language assistance.
  • Audio Capabilities: Built-in open-ear speakers and microphones enable music playback, calls, and voice commands without the need for additional devices.

Design and Compatibility

The smart glasses are available in various styles, including Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner, with over 20 frame and lens combinations.

They support prescription lenses (ranging from -6.00 to +4.00) and transition lenses that adapt to lighting conditions.

Compatibility extends to both iOS (14.2 and above) and Android (10 and above) devices.

While the global starting price is approximately $299 (around ₹25,000), Indian pricing details are yet to be confirmed.

The glasses are expected to be available through Ray-Ban India and Meta’s official online platforms.
