TJEE 2025: Registration dateline extended

The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) has officially extended the registration deadline for the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (TJEE) 2025. Aspiring candidates now have until February 22, 2025, to submit their applications online through the official TBJEE website: tbjee.nic.in.

• Application Correction Window: February 28 – March 5, 2025 

• Admit Card Release: Second week of April 2025 

• Examination Date: April 23, 2025 

• Model Answer Key Release: April 30, 2025

Eligibility Criteria: 

1. Citizenship and Residency: 
   1. Candidates must be Indian citizens. 
   2. Permanent residency in Tripura for at least 10 years prior to application is mandatory. 
   3. A Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) issued by the appropriate authority is required. 
2. Educational Qualifications: 
   1. Candidates should have passed or be appearing in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) in 2025 from recognized boards such as TBSE, CBSE, or equivalent. 
   2. Relevant subject combinations include: 
      1. Group A (Engineering & Technology Courses): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics 
      2. Group B (Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries, Paramedical & Other Courses): Physics, Chemistry, Biology 
      3. Group C (Both Engineering & Medical Courses): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology 
3. Special Category Eligibility: 
   1. Children of All India Services (AIS) officers of the Manipur-Tripura cadre and state government employees posted outside Tripura are eligible. 
   2. Children of Central Government employees serving in Tripura for at least three continuous years can apply. 
   3. Wards of Ex-Servicemen (Army, Navy, Air Force) who have resided in Tripura for a minimum of five years before application and have studied in Tripura are eligible. 
   4. Children of serving defense personnel hailing from Tripura and residing in the state for at least five years are also eligible. 
4. Previous Admission Restriction: 
   1. Candidates who have previously secured a seat through TJEE in any year, either within or outside Tripura, are ineligible unless they have surrendered their previous seat in writing before the specified deadline. 
5. Reservation Policy: 
   1. Reservations are available for categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and wards of Ex-Servicemen (ESM), as per state government norms. 
   2. Candidates claiming reservation must upload valid certificates issued by the appropriate authority. 

Examination Details: 

• Date: April 23, 2025 (Wednesday) 

• Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper-Based) 

• Medium: English and Bengali 

• Subjects and Timing: 

• Physics & Chemistry: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM 

• Biology: 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM 

• Mathematics: 3:00 PM – 3:45 PM 

• Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) 

• Marking Scheme: 

• Each correct answer awards 4 marks. 

• Each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 1 mark (negative marking). 

• Total marks per subject: 120 (30 questions × 4 marks).

• General (Male): ₹550 

• SC/ST (Male): ₹450 

• All Female & BPL (Male/Female): ₹350
