Financial Changes 1 June 2025: From tomorrow, June 1, 2025, there are some significant changes coming that will influence your everyday finances. From new credit card regulations to free Aadhaar updates deadline, these changes will shape the way you spend, save, and deal with your money. Here’s a brief explanation of what’s changing.
Financial Changes 1 June 2025: List
1. New Rules for Credit Card Payments
Credit card holders, pay attention! They are discussing new regulations from June 1. Using your credit card to pay your utility bills, say electricity or water, may incur additional charges. Like, Kotak Mahindra Bank will impose a 1 per cent charge on payment of fuel if you exceed their monthly cap. They are also capping reward points on such items as rent, utility bills, and insurance.
Another modification is, if your auto-debit payment does not go through, the penalty could fall to 2 per cent, which is less than it was. Also,
be cautious about modifications in international transaction fees and reward points. Confirm with your bank to keep yourself prepared.
2. ATM Fees
If you rely heavily on ATMs, prepare for a potential fee increase. From June 1, withdrawing money above your bank’s free threshold may become more expensive. Every bank has its own regulation, so look on their website or app to see how much you’ll be charged for additional withdrawals.
