The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the last date to apply for CDS 2 2025 exam. Now, candidates can apply until June 20 instead of June 16 (11:59 PM). It was released on May 28, 2025 on the official website at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC has changed the application form filling process in 2025. The UPSC CDS application process consists of stages including Account Creation, Universal Registration, Common Application form and APplying for Various Exams. Candidates need to pay the application fee online. The CDS 2025 exam application fee is INR 200 for General and OBC candidates, while SC/ST candidates and female candidates are exempt from the fee. The selection process of CDS consists of written examination followed by the SSB Interview. For IMA, INA, and AFA, the written exam is divided into three sections: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics, with each section allotted two hours. For OTA, the exam comprises two sections: English and General Knowledge, also with a two-hour duration for each. The total marks for the IMA, INA, and AFA exams are 300, while the OTA exam is scored out of 200 marks.

- Open the UPSC Online Application Portal; upsconline.nic.in
- For registration, candidates need to create an account clicking on the ‘Account Creation’ link.
- Verify the email ID and mobile number using OTP
- Login by using valid login credentials like email ID and OTP/ password or mobile number and OTP/password or OTR ID and OTP/password.
- Candidates need to fill out the CDS 2 application form in two parts that is filling the other details including fees payment, uploading of scanned documents, signature, photo identity card document and selection of preferred exam centre.
- Check all the details thoroughly and edit if required.
- Now, submit the application form
- A registration number will be generated after the submission of online form. Candidates can download it and save it for future reference.
